Dark City Games New Official YouTube Channel

One of my favorite publishers, Dark City Games, has recently setup an official YouTube channel and I couldn’t be more thrilled. DCG founder George Dew provides the voiceover and takes us through a series of bite-sized videos that are perfect for a quick playthrough on your phone or pc. Kicking off the content offering is a playlist of tutorials walking through the Legends of the Ancient World ruleset. This is perfect for first time players and will be a great resource for a quick watch as you prep your party of characters for an adventure. In addition to the tutorials,

I’m especially enjoying the tiles as I feel like you can never have too many full-color tiles ready to build an encounter. One of my favorite things about the adventures from Dark City Games are the bundled map and tokens. The DCG games introduce a diverse variety of foes

Legends of the Ancient World RPG and Dark City Games

When it comes to solo roleplaying games, Legends of the Ancient World (LAW) tops my list. It is a rules light system that captures the fundamentals of The Fantasy Trip while streamlining some of the more complex combat options. This pairs nicely with the fun programmed adventures offered by Dark City Games and makes for an enjoyable solo or group play experience. This month has seen the release of a brand new fantasy adventure for LAW titled “Uprising” by the amazing Bret Winters. I have enjoyed many of Bret’s previous adventures and the content shared to his blog, “Swords Under
